The I-CAR Northwest Region has awarded two $1,000 collision student scholarships through the Collision Repair Education Foundation. Collision students from Washington were eligible to receive these scholarships. Funding for these scholarships was made possible through the local I-CAR volunteer committee hosting fundraising events.

The 2013 I-CAR Northeast Region collision student scholarship winners include:

  • Thomas Bernhofer – Lake Washington Institute of Technology (Kirkland, Wash.)
  • Zoe Gorow – Lake Washington Institute of Technology (Kirkland, Wash.)

I-CAR Northeast Regional Manager Bob Mickey noted, "I want to offer a very special thanks to all of the sponsors and players that participated helping us make this first annual golf fundraiser a success. This year we will again be at the Redmond Ridge Golf Club, Cole Creek, WA.  Please mark your calendars for Sept 18th. The industry will soon receive the latest update of the 'Industry Snapshot', a joint effort between the Collision Repair Education Foundation and I-CAR. The survey results will show demographics that will be affecting everyone. This will only reinforce our needs to be proactive in every endeavor to assist and increase the flow of new technicians into our industry."

Inter-industry organizations and individuals who are interested in supporting the Education Foundation and increasing the amount of assistance provided to collision schools and students should contact Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrodeat [email protected] or 847-463-5244.
