Upcoming Leadership 2.0 classes approach sold-out status
The University of the Aftermarket reports that just two spots remain in the upcoming 2008-2009 Leadership 2.0 program. To reserve one of the two remaining spots, aftermarket professionals are urged to contact university offices as soon as possible, says Brian Cruickshank, the University of the Aftermarket's director. "This year's class represents the most impressive collection of individuals and aftermarket organizations we've ever attracted," Cruickshank adds. "Clearly, the word is out that Leadership 2.0 provides participants with a powerful new set of ideas and tools with which to succeed in this rapidly evolving industry. The class will find this year's curriculum exciting, fast-paced and intellectually challenging." The first of two weeklong Leadership 2.0 learning sessions will take place September 7-12, 2008, at the newly opened Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies on the campus of Northwood University in Midland, Mich. The second session will be offered April 12-17, 2009, on Northwood University's campus in West Palm Beach, Fla. Among the organizations represented in the new class are Advance Auto Parts, Federated Auto Parts, Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Federal-Mogul, Automotive Distribution Network, Dorman Products, Affinia Group, Timken, National Pronto, JC Whitney, Trico Products, Robert Bosch, ExxonMobil, Tenneco, Diesel Injection Service, POJA Warehouse, Babcox, AAIA, MEMA, Car Care Council Women's Board, and Car Care Professionals Network. Leadership 2.0 is appropriate for any mid-level professional working in any market segment within the motor vehicle aftermarket. Previous attendees have represented manufacturing, retail operations, wholesale distributing, association management, program group management, and service dealer facilities. Graduates of the Leadership 2.0 program receive 6.0 Continuing Education Unit (CEUs) toward completion of their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) certifications.
