The opening of the Alexandria store will mark the fourth store opening within a 12 month period for Curry's Auto Service, which opened a store at Dulles Town Center on November 15, 2010 and a store in the City of Fairfax on April 4, 2011. A third store in Gaithersburg, MD, is scheduled to open in mid-August, 2011.
Already operating seven shops in Northern Virginia, Curry’s Auto Service is one of the largest independent service and repair shops in the DC area, with more than 4500 customer interactions each month at its shops in Arlington, Chantilly, Dulles, Fairfax City, Falls Church, Gainesville and Great Falls/Reston.

In 2009, Curry’s Auto Service was the first auto service facility in Virginia to receive the AskPatty "female friendly facility" certification. As part of this program, Curry’s customers have access to an online community providing impartial advice to women on auto purchases, repairs and maintenance.

On March 1, 2011, Matt Curry was chosen as one of eight "Locally Grown Heroes" by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. He was honored at a Gala on April 27.
