This year's scholarship award through the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers - Minnesota (AASP-MN) has doubled this year, to $1,000 per student. The association awards the scholarships to select students enrolled in post-secondary automotive (mechanical or collision) programs.

Recipients must be entering the second year of a two-year NATEF-certified automotive program in the fall of 2010. Applications will be reviewed by a committee of industry representatives, with consideration given to scholastic achievement, education and career goals, financial need and written recommendations.

Applications must be postmarked no later than Feb. 26.
