Robert Bosch LLC announces that Warren Suter, director, Product Management, Engine Systems Group, will be a featured expert on the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) panel addressing the “Future of Electronic Engine Management Systems: Successful Shop Preparation.”
The panel will speak at the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week in Las Vegas, next month.
The discussion will focus on upcoming developments in engine management systems in the next five years and what repair shops can do to prepare for them. While manufacturers of engine management systems, such as Bosch, will offer their perspective, on the shop side, service dealer panelists will provide an inside look at the challenges facing them and how they will be able to overcome them.
“Bosch has been involved in the advancement of automotive technology since the early years of the automobile, and our experience in the field of engine management has been far more extensive than most people are aware of,” says Suter. “The first automotive oxygen sensor, fuel injectors, fuel pumps – we have made significant innovations over the years on all of these components.”
“This experience affords us a unique position to provide more than just replacement parts to the automotive service industry. We also provide diagnostic and repair support to service shops, with training and the availability of Bosch diagnostic equipment, not to mention our network of Bosch Service Centers,” Suter adds.
The panel is slated for Nov. 5 from 3- 4.30 p.m. and is being hosted by the Car Care Professionals Network (CCPN), a segment of AAIA. It is open to all shop owners and managers.
Prior to the panel discussion, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. shop owners can stop at the “Shop of Tomorrow” to see how business systems and equipment can share work orders and customer, service and diagnostic information. Also available is the opportunity for shop owners to visit the Bosch booth (AAPEX No. 4842) to meet with specialists and engineers regarding questions about any Bosch product or program.
The “Shop of Tomorrow” program and booth visits are complimentary but pre-registration is recommended by e-mailing [email protected]. For more information, visit www.aftermarket.org.
