Jim Harris, the owner of Harris Trucking and HT Motorsports, has created a program to raise consumer awareness about the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification in a big way. Really big, actually, as a number of his trailers now travel as rolling billboards encouraging all who see it to look for the Blue Seal of Excellence when they need auto service or maintenance.

“Jim and HT Motorsports were our partners in the final year of our involvement in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series,” says Tim Zilke, ASE President & CEO. “We have a great relationship and when we decided to end our involvement in racing, Jim approached us with an idea to help promote ASE that wasn’t just outside the box — it was on it!”

Harris plans to place the ASE decals on 44 of his trailers that will travel the highways across the U.S. “ASE was a great sponsor in our racing program and this is a reflection of the mutual respect that developed between our team and theirs,” Harris says. “I believe in the value that ASE certification provides to consumers and wanted to do something to help deliver that message. We’re proud to help spotlight another organization that believes in excellence as much as we do here at Harris Trucking.”

To date, Harris Trucking has completed 28 out of the 44 trailers scheduled to carry one of four different messages. Each message also contains the ASE logo designed to highlight the ASE website address at www.ase.com, so anyone seeing the message has an easy-to-remember URL for more information on how to find an ASE repair shop, or an ASE certified professional.
