The Affinia Group Inc. has made a significant donation to Northwood University's new Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies, located on the university's Midland, MI, campus.

Uni-SelectUSA is donating $150,000 to New York's Alfred State College to assist in the development of an automotive parts technology program.

The Performance Warehouse Association (PWA) recently selected eTool Developers to create a customized online learning center geared specifically for PWA member companies.

Walker Products Inc. has received certification to the ISO 9001 International Quality Standard, as well as certification to the TS 16949 Automotive Industry Specific Quality Standard.

ALLDATA is continuing its aggressive enforcement action against individuals and organizations involved in intellectual property piracy. A recent victory in Forth Worth, TX, awarded ALLDATA $150,000 for trademark infringement, unfair competition and copyright infringement. 

ExxonMobil has entered into a global agreement with Honda Performance Development and its technical operations center to design and develop Acura's high-performance racing engines.

Charles Bryant, executive director of the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers/New Jersey, was recently honored by AASP/NJ with induction into its Hall of Fame. Bryant was further honored by The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) with its annual Most Innovative Idea Award.

"AIM - Power in Motion" is the company's new tagline that was introduced in correlation with a new logo for the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket. 

John Cooper Fitch, founder of Fitch Permanent Fuel Treatment, will be inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in August.

The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) has approved the H3R Performance Co.'s billet aluminum mounting accessories for use in 1.0-, 1.4- and 2.5-pound fire extinguishers. 

WORLDPAC has added new facilities in Saint-Leonard, Quebec, and Vancouver Island, B.C., to provide increased service support and expanded delivery options to WORLDPAC customers. 

Affinia Group Inc. has named Jeff Blocher brand manager for WIX Filtration. Blocher brings 20 years of experience in the aftermarket industry to his new position. 

NGK Spark Plugs (USA) has promoted Peter Daley and Chris Hillestad to zone managers for its Eastern and Midwest zones, respectively. They will supervise the sales efforts for NGK's Aftermarket Spark Plug, Oxygen Sensor and Ignition Wires.

The Affinia Group Inc. recently began production at its brand-new manufacturing and distribution facility in Krasilov, Ukraine.

The Monroe division of Tenneco Inc. has expanded its consumer ad campaign to include print advertising, radio spots, online and billboard ads.

Transtar Industries Inc. has acquired Axiom Automotive Technologies Inc. The merged companies will be based at Transtar's current Walton Hills, Ohio, headquarters.

Affinia Under Vehicle Group and Spicer Chassis Products have teamed with Joe Gibbs Racing to provide racing chassis products for the NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series programs.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded SPX Corp. its "2007 Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award." The award is given in recognition of exceptional leadership, personal dedication, and technical achievements in eliminating ozone-depleting substances.

Johnson Controls has appointed John Moulton as vice president and general manager of its North American Operations for the company's Automotive Experience business. 

The National Catalog Managers Association (NCMA) presented Wells Manufacturing L.P. with its 2007 President's Award for the best paper catalog in the automotive aftermarket.

Aisin World Corp. of America has significantly strengthened its aftermarket sales efforts in the United States by contracting with several regional sales agencies across the country.
