Sherwin-Williams announces 2012 second quarter training schedule

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes 2012 second quarter training sessions are designed for collision repair industry professionals seeking advancement and increased knowledge in their field. Courses will be offered March 20 through June 28, 2012.
Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes 2012 second quarter training sessions are designed for collision repair industry professionals seeking advancement and increased knowledge in their field. Courses will be offered March 20 through June 28, 2012.

Through a variety of classroom, web, and hands-on settings at numerous metropolitan Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes training centers; shop owners, managers, and painters can learn intensive business-building, production-excellence, and application techniques.

The following courses will be conducted during the second quarter:

  • Estimating solutions for profit
  • Painter certification
  • Color adjustment and blending
  • AWX® waterborne systems
According to Rod Habel, Sherwin- Williams Automotive Finishes Director of Training Operations, many of the new classes directly relate to the Sherwin-Williams philosophy of helping customers through ‘lean thinking’ – introducing concepts that support sustainable practices – which increases productivity while minimizing or often eliminating waste. In particular, increased training courses on the company’s fast-drying, easy to mix and apply AWX waterborne system which provides excellent color match, quick flash times between coats and doesn’t require a baking cycle.

Habel also notes that Sherwin-Williams will now be offering several classes available for prep technicians as well as fleet finishers, the latter including demonstrations of its new Genesis® LV single stage system and Genesis® G4 premium basecoat system.
