Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes
2012 second quarter training sessions
are designed for collision repair
industry professionals seeking
advancement and increased knowledge in
their field. Courses will be offered
March 20 through June 28, 2012.
Through a variety of classroom, web,
and hands-on settings at numerous
metropolitan Sherwin-Williams
Automotive Finishes training centers;
shop owners, managers, and painters can
learn intensive business-building,
production-excellence, and application
techniques.
The following courses will be conducted
during the second quarter:
- Estimating solutions for profit
- Painter certification
- Color adjustment and blending
- AWX® waterborne systems
According to Rod Habel, Sherwin-
Williams Automotive Finishes Director
of Training Operations, many of the new
classes directly relate to the
Sherwin-Williams philosophy of helping
customers through ‘lean thinking’ –
introducing concepts that support
sustainable practices – which increases
productivity while minimizing or often
eliminating waste. In particular,
increased training courses on the
company’s fast-drying, easy to mix and
apply AWX waterborne system which
provides excellent color match, quick
flash times between coats and doesn’t
require a baking cycle.
Habel also notes that Sherwin-Williams
will now be offering several classes
available for prep technicians as well
as fleet finishers, the latter
including demonstrations of its new
Genesis® LV single stage system and
Genesis® G4 premium basecoat system.
