From a greatly expanded booth presence, meet-and-greet opportunities with a notable NASCAR driver, introduction of new products and services, to a much-anticipated sneak peek at the hottest new performance car on the market, visitors will have plenty to take in when they visit the Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes (SWAF) booth #25065 at SEMA 2010, Nov. 2 – 5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

During SEMA, booth visitors will have the opportunity to spend time with NASCAR “Race for the Chase” driver Clint Bowyer. Bowyer will be available at the booth from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3 to meet with fans and sign autographs.

Performance car enthusiasts can learn about the new collector’s initiative brought together from three iconic companies of the automotive industry: Sherwin-Williams, ROUSH Performance and Barrett-Jackson auto auction house. The three companies have recently combined to create a unique, limited-edition 2010 Ford ROUSH Mustang – the first of only 25 vehicles to be produced.

The show car is decked out in the Planet Color® Barrett- Jackson® Collector Color Series of factory packaged colors (this one-of-a-kind car is painted with Red Hot Chili Pepper), and they come in a choice of 25 eye-catching basecoats. All colors are modern, restyled versions of the most popular muscle car and current custom car colors, as provided by Barrett-Jackson. The Roush presence is definitely evident – look under the hood and the 540 horsepower should tell you this is not a car to be reckoned with.

Visitors will also detail SWAF’s recent announcement of its new integrated management system developed in cooperation with Mitchell International. This new initiative provides data integration between Formula Express® color retrieval system and Mitchell’s RepairCenter™. It was developed through input with the two brand’s top customers and is designed to help all shops meet competitive pressure head on in the production cycle. Some of Sherwin-Williams most sophisticated independent shop customers have requested this integration with their estimating/management system.

Also premiering in the booth is the introduction of one of its latest products to the marketplace. Now create your custom finish with the premium AWX® Waterborne Basecoat. The technology of the Planet Color® brand and AWX® Waterborne Basecoat together create premium-quality Planet Color® Waterborne products offering custom colors with excellent durability, 3.5 VOC compliance, and a wide variety of color schemes.
