PITTSFORD, N.Y. – SceneExchange, an online community that brings vehicle owners and collision repair shops together in an insurer-sponsored marketplace, is rolling out in the Missouri, Illinois and Iowa markets in October, and members of the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP) of Missouri say they firmly believe it will help bring great value to their member shops.   RELATED NEWS

“One of the reasons we decided to actively back SceneExchange is that it allows shops to choose jobs they want — shops can look at as many jobs as they wish, and then pursue those they feel are a good fit,” says Steve White, president of AASP Missouri. "It’s like an extension of marketing as well — with directly measureable return on investment. It’s difficult to see downside with a program like this."

"When we were first approached by Alan Murdy, director of industry relations from Scene Genesis, we were a tough audience because we didn’t understand the concept,” White adds. “Alan went out of his way to come to meet with us and answer all of our questions. Now we understand how the program can be used to help fill production gaps and expose shops to new jobs and customers. This is the first program of its kind that we are actively recommending to our members.”
