Repairing a loose rear exterior door panel
Some 1996 to 1998 Saturn sedans and wagons may have a loose rear exterior door panel caused by the panel not being tight against the door structure. Saturn explains that the cause is from the rear door side window outer sealing strip that is not holding the top of the exterior door panel to the door structure tightly enough.
The remedy suggested by Saturn involves removing the rear door side window outer sealing strip and adjusting the door structure flange in the following way (see popup chart).
