Oct. 20, 2014—AkzoNobel recognized five businesses and individuals for their ongoing contributions and support to the Women’s Industry Network (WIN) during a special portion of the event’s awards ceremony held in conjunction with the 2014 AkzoNobel Distributor Conference.

The Supporting a Vision Award recipients included:

  • Linda Sommerhauser, Autobody Color Company

  • Kim Snyder, The Body Parts Store, Inc.

  • Eileen May, Nyquist Inc.

  • Yen Hoang, UYL Color Supply

“A skilled workforce and vigilant leadership are two key attributes for making our industry strong and sustainable,” Doug Holmberg, business director for AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinishes in North America said in a release.  “We are extremely proud of the active role that many of our distribution  partners play in securing the influential role of women in collision repair. WIN  was created with a vision of what our industry could be and the roles that women should fulfill in making that vision a reality. The individuals that we honored are a shining example of the calibre of leadership for which WIN stands.”

The AkzoNobel Most Influential Women in the Collision Repair Industry program (MIW) was established in 1999 and became a pioneering endeavor that is today being sustained under the leadership of the WIN organization.
