Affinia Group is redirecting their organization strategy by assigning the Global Filtration and Global Brake Chassis business units responsibility of enhancing company focus on efficiency and responsive customer relationships. The changes aim to create a more agile organization that will better align executive, operations and sales management with the needs of market channel constituents.
“Everything we do today is all about delivering value to our customers and channel partners through product quality, innovation, and unrelenting focus on service,” says Terry R. McCormack, president and CEO of Affinia, a global leader in the on- and off-highway replacement products and services industry. “These organizational changes reflect our ability and willingness to anticipate and stay ahead of major shifts in the business environment.”
Global Filtration will continue to be led by group President Keith Wilson, and H. David Overbeeke, a former GE senior executive with financial and management experience, has joined Affinia to lead the Global Brake Chassis unit. Both will report directly to McCormack while overseeing their groups’ operational, sales and financial accountability.
To enhance focus on customer service, the filtration and brake chassis groups have created vice president of sales positions to better lead field sales forces for product lines and brands.
“Today’s market dynamics make it more important than ever that we stay as close as possible to our customers,” McCormack said. “These organizational changes will improve communications throughout our supply chain. The aim is to help assure that we respond quickly and effectively to market changes for the benefit of our channel partners and customers.”
