Deadline coming soon for Michelin/TIA Scholarship applications

Prospective collegians are being reminded by the Tire Industry Association (TIA) that the application deadline for this year’s Michelin/TIA Scholarship program is Monday, Feb. 6.

A total of $5,000 will be awarded to each of three selected recipients.

The scholarship is open to part-time employees and dependent children of full-time employees of TIA member tire dealers.

Applicants are evaluated on three criteria: Academic achievement, extracurricular activities and community leadership qualities.

Since the program was established in 1995, Michelin has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships across the country.
