Schrader says that its tire pressure monitoring
system (TPMS) EZ-sensor technology now covers more
than 82 percent of all TPMS-equipped vehicles in
North America.
“Schrader set a company goal to reach 90 percent
coverage of all TPMS-equipped vehicles, and through
a series of major coverage launches this year, we’re
closing in on our stated objective,” says Trevor
Potter, vice president of Schrader’s aftermarket
division.
“We’re proud to offer truly unprecedented EZ-sensor
coverage – for more than 215 million vehicles in all
– on a comprehensive range of vehicle platforms,” he
observes.
In addition to coverage on platforms such as Dodge,
Jeep, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, General Motors,
Chevrolet, Mazda, Toyota and Nissan, the company
also covers support for vehicles from Hyundai,
Isuzu, Kia and Mitsubishi. Just two EZ-sensor SKUs
are necessary.
“With more than 256 million TPMS-equipped vehicles
on the road, Schrader’s EZ-sensor continues to be
the cutting-edge solution for service and repair
technicians,” says Scot Holloway, general manager at
Bartec.
“EZ-sensor is the only TPMS aftermarket product able
to provide this caliber of scalability and ease-of-
use, and is the only technology on the market that
is compatible with up to eight different hand-held
scan/programming tools from Bartec,” he continues.
“Because of this, aftermarket service and repair
shops have readily embraced the EZ-sensor as the way
to quickly and accurately service the diverse set of
TPMS-equipped vehicles entering their
facilities.”
Schrader, citing “significant momentum” in the North
American aftermarket, has made several resource
investments that include the addition of Chris Mack
as regional sales manager for the Northeast region.
Mack, based in Lexington, Mass., will support all of
the company’s sales and business development
activities throughout the region.
Mack has more than 20 of sales experience, including
regional and national leadership roles with leading
aftermarket firms.
