As the first production models of the new 2012 Fisker Karma EVer (electric vehicle, extended range) hybrid are delivered to their new owners, they'll be rolling exclusively on Goodyear's Eagle F1 Supercar tires.

According to the carmaker, it is the world’s first premium electric vehicle with extended range and the “embodiment of an environmentally conscious vehicle with passion, style and performance.”

The four-door, four-passenger Karma is a series plug-in hybrid that combines the zero-emission benefits of an all-electric car with the full driving range of a conventional car: “It will offer a responsible alternative to those in the market for traditional full size, fully equipped luxury performance cars.”

Because of its large 22-inch wheels and the high torque output of its electric motor, Goodyear worked with Fisker to develop high performance tires specifically for the Karma EVer. The vehicle will be factory fitted with custom Eagle F1 Supercar tires in sizes 285/35/R22 (rear) and 255/35/R22 (front).

Fisker is among the “many automakers that have selected Goodyear tires as original equipment for its fuel- efficient vehicles,” the tire maker reports.

The Toyota Prius, Scion iQ, Chevrolet Volt, Chevrolet Cruze Eco and Ford Fusion S also come standard with Goodyear’s tires.
