Turning in a presidential-type performance,
James Monroe lit up the Christmas tree at the
recent JEGS Allstars competition by taking first
place in the Top Dragster class.
The annual event brings together the best racers
in each category from all seven National Hot Rod
Association (NHRA) divisions.
Monroe, who won while running on Mickey Thompson
tires and wheels, is a former two-time JEGS
Allstars Super Quick Champion.
He uses Mickey’s Pro 5 Double Beadlock Drag
Wheel size 16X16 and ET Drag tire size
34.5/17.0-16 on the rear, and the Pro 5 Drag
Wheel size 17x2.125 and the ET Front tire size
22.0/2.5-17 on the front.
In the final race, the contenders for the Top
Dragster title included NHRA Division 7 champion
Art Hoover. Monroe earned the top spot with a
6.755-second time at 192.08 mph. Hoover
clocked-in at 194.46 mph with an ET of
6.839.

prestigious Top Dragster title in this
