Universal Lubricants has launched a campaign to bring its high performance, recycled ECO ULTRA® motor oil to drivers across the country by retailing the product on online shopping hub, Amazon.com.

Produced domestically at the company's state-of-the-art re-refinery, ECO ULTRA® is an American Petroleum Institute (API) certified motor oil that boasts one of the highest percentages of recycled oil content while meeting Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) requirements and current vehicle manufacturers' specifications.

"As American car owners, we each take great pride in the unique natural landscapes we drive through on a daily basis, but share the finite oil reserves that fuel our transportation, no matter what state we're in. Now, given ECO ULTRA's widespread availability on Amazon.com, we each have the opportunity to choose a re-refined motor oil that promises to preserve our greatest national heirloom — the environment — and also join a collective effort to conserve oil supplies and reduce dependency on foreign exporters," said John Wesley, chief executive officer of Universal Lubricants. "ECO ULTRA® has met an encouraging reception in the professional installer market and we expect similarly encouraging results when introduced to DIY consumers, who are ready for a cleaner, greener motor oil choice."

The U.S. produces approximately 1.3 billion gallons of used oil each year, and only 10% of it is re-refined. The overwhelming remainder of used oil is either improperly disposed of (damaging the environment) or regrettably burned as an industrial fuel. Universal Lubricants is working to reverse this trend.

Utilizing a tightly controlled closed loop process, Universal Lubricants collects used oil from the government and private business such as auto parts stores, dealerships, service stations, and oil change centers across the U.S. The company then transports that oil to one of the world's most technologically advanced re-refineries located in Wichita, Kansas, where it undergoes an advanced hydro-treating process to remove all of the water, fuel and solvents as well as metals, asphalt flux and other heavy contaminants. The purified high quality Grade II base stock oil is then blended with high performance additives to make API certified ECO ULTRA® products.

"Now with just one click of the mouse, you can make a simple decision to make a powerful difference. To do what's right for your engine, the environment and the economy, choose ECO ULTRA®," added Wesley.
