In cooperation with Kumho, Sullivan Tire & Auto
Service recently hosted a meet and greet session
with soccer star Alexi Lalas at its Brockton, Mass.
outlet as Lalas’ U.S. Men’s National Team prepared
for a match against Spain at Gillette Stadium in
Foxborough.
The tire maker “is motivated to work with its local
dealers throughout the country toward the common
goal of growing sales,” according to Rick Brennan,
Kumho’s vice president of marketing. “It’s a win-
win scenario, one that puts both Kumho and our
dealers in the zone.”
As the Official Tire of the U.S. squad, Kumho is
providing America SCORES New England with 750 new
soccer balls for children in its program upon
reaching 15,000 “likes” on the tire company’s
Facebook page. (America SCORES a non-profit
organization that empowers youth through a
combination of athletics, creative writing and
service-learning aimed at helping them develop life
skills, literacy and health through soccer.)
“We are reaching out in a myriad of ways to our
consumers, our dealers and our communities
throughout the country to expand our presence as
‘the’ high performance tire company, as well as to
give back and to inspire kids from all walks of
life to drive toward their dreams,” says
Brennan.
“We have established a national network of
relationships with amazing organizations, from our
dealers to national sports teams, that have enabled
us to successfully build our consumer base by
showcasing our brand as one of the leading tire
manufacturers in the world,” he adds.
Kumho has also teamed up with Sullivan’s to kick
off a new program giving customers a $40 rebate on
the purchase of four Ecsta UHP tires or a $20
rebate for buying two of them. The selected Ecsta
lines include ASX, SPT, AST and LX Platinum.
Established in 1955 by Robert J. Sullivan with the
motto of “treat everyone, customers and fellow
employees, as you would a member of your family,”
Sullivan’s has grown to encompass 53 retail
locations and 15 Commercial Truck Centers
throughout New England.
