American Racing Wheels’ Salt Flat Specials and BFGoodrich tires will be among the components featured this fall on Speed TV’s “Chop Cut Rebuild” series as Classic Industries restores a 1972 Plymouth Duster.

With the assistance of show host Dan Woods, the Huntington Beach, Calif.- based custom house’s project will unfold over 13 episodes as the crew endeavors to “breathe new life into a once junkyard-bound Mopar,” according to Jeff Leonard, Classic Industries’ CEO.

“Working with Dan and the ‘Chop Cut Rebuild’ team has been great in the past, so we are pleased to partner with them once again for season eight,” says Leonard, noting that the company, founded in 1976, is eager to showcase its new catalog of Mopar restoration parts and accessories – plus an array of other lines, including tires and wheels – to a nationwide audience of potential purchasers.

“Viewers will see the team utilize a number of products from Classic Industries during the build, many of which were previously unavailable elsewhere,” he explains.

Leonard says Dusters have long been ignored by the automotive aftermarket in favor of the more popular, scarce and higher-priced Challenger and Barracuda models, adding that “once-forgotten Mopar A-body cars like the Duster are enjoying a newfound resurgence in popularity with muscle car enthusiasts.”

The shop’s TV team “will transform this tired A-body into a high performance street machine on par with today’s modern muscle cars,” Leonard reports, with the completed vehicle scheduled to be unveiled at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.
