A brand-new 180-degree movie theatre experience
which tells the story of Continental commercial vehicle tires and
the company’s success in the market today
The “Untamed Innovation Tour 2” was launched to truckers at the March 31-April 2 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.
It consists of a 2010-model International LoneStar tractor attached to a 53-foot trailer. The exhibit incorporates a movie theatre and tire information laboratory inside the trailer, and displays of Continental’s truck tire offerings are placed outside of the rig.
Since its launch at Mid-America in 2009, the Untamed Innovation Tour has visited more than 250 tradeshows, events and tire dealerships throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
As described by company executives, features of the Untamed Innovation Tour 2 include:PAGE 2A completely redesigned tire information and
laboratory experience which highlights the truck tire
offerings for the goods, people and construction
transportation market segments
A newly-launched electronic tool, the
ContiTireFinder, which is available on touch screen
displays inside the laboratory and is the industry’s first
truck tire selector that allows the user to adjust their
recommendations based on their specific vehicle type, tire
size, application and driving conditions
Updated touch screen access for the
ContiCostCalculator, which helps trucking fleets determine
the total cost of ownership and fuel efficiency gained by
using Continental’s tires
Three-dimensional product demonstrations, tire
technology visualizations and rolling resistance
demonstrations
Following its launch at Mid-America, the Untamed
Innovation Tour 2 will begin touring NAFTA countries to
visit trucking fleets, tire dealerships and other major
events.
The next key scheduled stop is ExpoCam 2011, Canada’s national trucking show in Montreal, Quebec, beginning April 7.
