Rogers gains expanded role at Bridgestone's farm tire unit

Tom Rodgers has been promoted to director of sales and marketing at Bridgestone’s agricultural and commercial tire division. He was most recently director of marketing, sales support and strategic management.

In his expanded role, Rodgers’ primary objective will be to manage the channel supply strategy between the company’s original equipment and replacement markets.

In addition, he will work with the sales team to continue to provide industry leading technology and service to and through the company’s original equipment customers and Certified Dealer network to meet the needs of production agriculture.

Rodgers will also continue with his current marketing duties, including responsibility for marketing and promotions, sales support, budgeting and forecasting, pricing, product development and field engineering.

“Tom has brought a tremendous amount of knowledge of the agriculture industry,” says Ken Allen, divisional president, “both from his professional as well as his personal background.”

Rogers “has a passion for agriculture and has a great understanding of this industry and opportunities in front of Bridgestone Americas,” Allen adds.

Since joining the company in July of 2007, Rodgers has held positions of increasing responsibility. He previously worked at John Deere, covering supply management, agricultural marketing and product support.

In addition, he has spent most of his professional career in the agricultural industry, with previous experience in the areas of commodities trading, seed sales and farm tires. Rodgers graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance.
