Bridgestone has joined the sponsorship roster for the Feb. 12- 13 USA Sevens International Rugby Championship to be played at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.

With the play-by-play airing throughout the weekend on NBC and Universal Sports, it marks the first time that the International Rugby Championship will receive live television coverage in the U.S.

Bridgestone’s in-stadium sponsorship benefits include highly visible logo placements, Jumbotron spots, messaging and virtual signage opportunities.

“With such great sponsor support, rugby is ‘in business’ in the United States,” says Jonathan First, president of USA Sevens. He adds that Bridgestone’s tires will be highlighted “in unique and exciting ways on the field and during the broadcast.”

“The last pieces of the puzzle are the crowds and audience who will no doubt make it a spectacular event to watch live and on television,” says Jon Miller, president of programming at NBC Sports.

With an anticipated attendance of more than 50,000 over the two days, it is the largest annual rugby presentation in North America and one of the fastest growing rugby events in the world.
