Designed for performance-oriented drivers motoring through the snow, slush and ice covering their 'favorite curvy roads,' BFGoodrich has rolled out its new Winter Slalom KSI tire.

“As the first BFGoodrich winter tire to be introduced in years, we knew that the Winter Slalom KSI needed to excite consumers and enthusiasts alike,” says category manager Andrew Koury, who notes that it “provides the kind of control drivers expect” from the company’s offerings.

Available now, it comes in 36 sizes ranging from 14 to 17 inches with a broad range of fitments for cars, SUVs and light trucks.

The tire has “a unique rubber compound mix that provides an optimized balance of winter traction without significant compromise to wet grip,” according to Koury.

Other features include a high-sipe density with maximum biting edges, full lateral grooves for hydroplaning resistance and deep snow traction, plus an increased void for better evacuation and improved winter performance and wear, he says.

A nylon cap enables an S-speed rating for speeds up to 112 mph.
