Vogue Tyre picks JMPR to handle media activities and product launches
JMPR is tasked with responsibilities such as launching new lines of Vogue-branded products, raising awareness for the brand both within the industry and among consumers, plus assisting with company representation by directing and coordinating media-related events.
“We trust the expertise JMPR built over the last three decades – working in both the automotive and aftermarket industries – will help us spread the Vogue message to a broader audience,” says Greg Hathcock, the tire maker’s president.
“Vogue Tyre has a great history behind it and a great line of products it offers,” notes JMPR President Joseph Molina. “You’d be hard pressed to find a company that’s catered to a wider audience for the past 96 years. We’re looking forward to making the most of this opportunity.”Vogue has long “catered to the most discriminating of tastes,” according to Hathcock, having served high-profile customers such as actors Clark Gable and Frank Morgan, who is best known for playing the title role in “The Wizard of Oz.”
Established in Illinois in 1914 by Harry Hower and the Woodbury family to cater to the well-heeled chauffeur-driven vehicle trade, Vogue is known for inventing the whitewall tire, complete with a patented gold stripe design, in 1919.
By 1926 it had opened a division in Los Angeles, where sales were targeted at wealthy Duesenberg owners among the Hollywood elite.
From the beginning, the firm says, it has been “at the cutting-edge of performance design and technology,” including a wide range of applications for today’s market, including the Infiniti G37, Lexus LS, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro and the new Dodge Challenger.
“Catering to all automotive owners, Vogue tires are not just designed to perform, but to look good while doing it,” the company reports. “Each tire is designed to provide the perfect look and fit while not compromising performance or comfort. ‘Vogue Tyre’ owners want to make a statement, and owning a set of custom-built tires is an investment in your vehicle that separates you from everyone else.”
The company also offers other products – including wheels and accessories – to fit numerous import and domestic marques, including Mercedes, Lexus, Toyota and Lincoln.
The Woodland Hills, Calif.-based JMPR was founded in 1977. Its clients, covering a wide variety of automotive, motorcycle and lifestyle industries, include Bentley Motors, Hurst Performance Vehicles, Cirrus Design, Ducati North America, Galpin Motors, Bugatti Automobiles, Classic Industries and Meguiar’s, Inc.
