Team General Tire's Jeff "Ox" Kargola is set to be surprised in
Surprise, Ariz. this weekend as he is officially presented with
his newly redesigned and tricked-out Toyota Tundra at the Sept.
26 Lucas Oil Off-Road Race.
West Coast Customs has redone the racer's ride as part of the
Discovery Channel's "Inside West Coast Customs" television show.
Tape of Kargola's episode will air later this year.
Shop owner Ryan Friedlinghaus and his crew are world-renowned
for their extreme vehicles, outrageous features and unique
designs, according to Dana Zamalloa, General's public relations
manager.
"We are so excited to see this truck by West Coast Customs,"
Zamalloa says.
"I have worked with some of the best car builders in the
industry," Zamalloa reports, "and Ryan's style and design always
blow me away. Ox was a perfect candidate for this build; he has
become a perfect crossover athlete with a solid freestyle MX
career, he's a stellar Baja MX racer and now an aggressive off-
road race truck driver."
In his debut into off-road racing at the Lucas series event in
Glen Helen, Calif., Kargola took third place in the Superlite
class.
In Baja MX racing, he came in first at the 2010 SCORE Baja 500
in Class 22, took another class win at the 2010 SCORE San Felipe
250 and is in contention for this season's overall SCORE Baja
championship.
