Lori Simonelli is Toyo’s new senior director of technical services. She had previously spent 27 years at Goodyear focusing on new product development and serving as a project manager. Simonelli was also manager of consumer tire design, dealing with car, SUV, light truck, medium commercial truck, racing and aircraft tires.

“Ms. Simonelli brings valuable management and new product development experience to our company,” says Yasushi Takagi, president and CEO.

Most-recently Simonelli was at RAM Key Consultants, specializing in design troubleshooting, technical issues and quality processes.

Simonelli has a degree in mechanical engineering from Cleveland State University’s Fenn College in Ohio. In 2009, she was awarded Order of the Engineer in Link 1, and has received honors for professional excellence from organizations such as the YWCA.
