Hyundai’s 2010 Genesis Coupe will be rolling off the assembly line on Bridgestone’s Potenza tires.
“This high-profile fitment continues to grow our successful supplier relationship with Hyundai,” says Michael Martini, president of consumer OE tire sales, adding that the application provides the automaker and motorists with “world-class quality and brand prestige to suit the high performance Genesis Coupe.”
The company will be supplying its all-season Potenza RE92A and the summer fitment Potenza RE050A for the rear-wheel drive car in four sizes:
- Front - 225/45R18 91V RE92A
- Rear - 245/45R18 96V RE92A
- Front - 225/40R19 89Y RE050A
- Rear - 245/40R19 94Y RE050A
Martini says the all-season RE92A tires feature a tread with interlocking triangulated blocks and circumferential grooves for wet, dry and snow traction. The computer enhanced tread design minimizes road noise, while a polyester cord body promotes ride comfort.
The RE050A, with the company’s UNI-T technology, has a tread pattern that promotes rapid water evacuation, variable dimensions in the tread blocks and a smooth shape to reduce noise. An asymmetrical pattern in the tread increases surface contact to enhance acceleration and cornering, he adds.
In addition to the 2010 Genesis Coupe fitment, Hyundai’s Tucson and Santa Fe models also feature Bridgestones as original equipment.
