Toyo has added nine new sizes to its line of car, light truck and SUV tires, covering applications ranging from luxury autos, hi-risers and street legal competition.
The Versado LX is a premium luxury car tire engineered for a comfortable and quiet ride with design elements such as the company’s Silent Wall technology. Three new offerings include a 215/50R16, 215/55R18 and 235/45R18 for vehicles such as the Volvo S40, Dodge Avenger R/T and SXT, the Mitsubishi Eclipse GT and others.
The ultra-high performance segment has a new size 245/45ZR19 Proxes T1R for the BMW 7 Series, Jaguar XJ8 and Lexus LS460L. Extreme performance drivers get a new 225/45ZR17 Proxes R1R, which “delivers razor sharp handling” to cars such as Acura RSX, Audi A3 and TT, BMW 3 and Z4, Nissan Sentra SE-R, Subaru WRX STI and VW Jetta and GTi, according to the company.
Moving to the far end of the size spectrum, a new 265/25ZR30 Proxes 4 is available exclusively for hi-riser applications.
Street legal R-compound competition tire enthusiasts get a new 265/30ZR19 sizing of the Proxes R888, which is the official tire of the SPEED World Challenge along with being a specified tire for the SCCA National Spec Miata series.
The Open Country H/T – designed for longevity, better handling and a comfortable ride – now includes a size P265/65R18 for vehicles such as Chevy SUVs, Cadillac’s Escalade and the Hummer H3. A new LT285/75R16 size of the Open Country H/T provides a Load Range E offering for full-size pickups.
Toyo has also introduced its first street legal drag racing radial, the Proxes TQ, currently available in six sizes, ranging from 16- to 18-inches in rim diameter.
