- New Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08 tire to make public debut at LA Auto Show
Yokohama ADVAN Neova®-equipped race cars collected four 2008 time attack racing titles – two each in the Super Lap Battle and Redline series.
On Nov. 12 at Buttonwillow Raceway Park, ADVAN Neova-equipped race cars won two Super Lap Battle series class championships. At the season finale, Matt Andrews and his Toyota Supra captured the street rear-wheel-drive class, while Nils Leufven drove his Mitsubishi Evo 8 to victory in the street all-wheel-drive class. Both wins clinched class championships for each driver.
Earlier this year, the Harman Motive Subaru STI earned two Redline series class championships with wins in all of the races it entered. J.C. Meynet, whose ADVAN Neova-shod Subaru collected the street tire and street tire all-wheel-drive class championships, posted wins at Buttonwillow, Miller Motorsports Park and Auto Club California Speedway.
“The ADVAN Neovas provide confident performance,” says Meynet of Santa Barbara, Calif. “The level of grip and control from these tires really blurs the gap between street tires and full-out race tires. In fact, every ADVAN Neova tire Yokohama provided to our team this season has been a race winner and track record breaker. These are the best street tires made and the results speak for themselves.”

“Matt, Nils and J.C.’s championships underscore the success of our ADVAN lineup,” says Fred Koplin, Yokohama director of marketing communications. “We’re proud of all three teams and the success of the ADVAN Neova AD07. The future is bright for ADVAN in time attack racing.”
