Two California body shops are embroiled in a lawsuit that charges libel and unfair business practices.

Gene Crozat, owner of Santa Rosa-based G&C Auto Body, is suing Kari Solem, owner of Advance Tech Collision, charging that Solem relied on false information from the Internet to portray him and one of his employees as drug dealers in an effort to gain a competitive advantage. The suit asks for general and punitive damages and attorney's fees.

An attorney representing Solem denied the libel charge, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.
