April 27, 2011 — A new PowerBlock TV series called Search & Restore will feature paint donated by DuPont Custom Finishes, the paint company announced Wednesday.

The show, which premiers May 7 on Spike TV, was developed in response to inquiries to help rescue unfinished automotive projects. The host, custom-car builder Tim Strange, will work with the PowerBlock crew and volunteer teams to rebuild vehicles for folks in need of a helping hand. The team has received more than 70,000 story and photo submissions.

Strange, who owns Strange Motion Rod & Custom Construction in Cambridge, Ill., is a longtime DuPont customer.

“It makes me feel good being able to use top-end DuPont products that I am comfortable with and stand behind,” he said.

Dupont Custom Finishes features a variety of special two- and three-stage custom and OEM colors in solvent-based and waterborne lines. For more information, go to pc.dupont.com.
