Freeway Insurance names new executive officers

June 30, 2011

June 30, 2011 — California-based Freeway Insurance, a provider of non-standard auto insurance, on Thursday announced the promotion of former chief financial officer Alex Trachtman to chief administrative officer. Executive Robert Trebing will fill Trachtman’s previous roll.

Trachtman will now oversee all of the company’s administrative areas in Buena Park, Calif. and Tijuana, Mexico. Those areas include quality control, customer processing, customer service, human resources, IT, purchasing, and fraud prevention.

“For the past four years, Alex has been an instrumental member of our executive management team, leading our Accounting and Finance Department through the many changes necessary as we evolve from 19 sales offices to over 220 offices nationally," said Joe Waked, Chief Operating Officer of Freeway Insurance. "He will continue to work closely with our senior management team to ensure that we continue to provide the necessary support and direction to continue our expansion into one of the largest distributors of auto insurance nationally.”

Waked said Trebing brings extensive financial management experience to his new role as chief financial officer.

“We look forward to utilizing Bob's financial acumen as a senior member of the management team,” Waked said.

Freeway Insurance is a subsidiary of New York-based Confie Seguros, a national insurance distribution company focused on the needs of Hispanic consumers. For more information, go to confieseguros.com.
