March 22, 2012

March 22, 2012—LORD Corp., a manufacturer of automotive repair adhesives, recently announced the launch of its new Fusor Training Alliance Repair Clinic courses.

LORD Corp. said its Training Alliance Repair Clinic courses are focused on the latest adhesive and seam sealer application procedures for body shop professionals, such as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), insurance companies and collision repair experts. The courses are designed to teach proper product repair procedures using lean processes. Course curriculum includes OEM-approved and industry-accepted techniques, proper and safe use of adhesives and seam sealers, proper product selection for each type of repair, and surface preparation for optimum repair results, according to LORD Corp.

The courses are currently available in the United States and Canada.

“LORD Fusor automotive aftermarket products are designed to reduce cycle times and improve overall quality, resulting in improved customer satisfaction. Automotive repair adhesives are used to restore and return vehicles to pre-accident condition, and are specially formulated to repair all types of automotive substrates, using the same proven adhesive technology that is applied to the OEMs,” said Brett Luketic, automotive and electronics marketing and sales director for LORD Corp.

Erie, Pa.-based LORD Corp. said it is the first adhesive company to offer training curriculum recognized by I-CAR’s Industry Training Alliance program, which the company has been doing since 2001. The Industry Training Alliance program, developed by I-CAR in 2000, brings together technical training providers to optimize educational efforts for the collision industry.
