As with ATD, CTO has long focused its resources on developing a distribution infrastructure with the goal of “delivering outstanding customer service,” according to William “Bill” Berry, ATD’s president and CEO. The acquisition is expected to strengthen ATD’s Louisiana market position, he adds.
“Consolidated Tire and Oil developed a well-respected distribution business in their market,” says Berry.
“ATD looks forward to expanding our service to customers in the Louisiana by offering an unmatched breadth and depth of product, a strong array of dealer marketing programs, and unsurpassed customer service,” he says.
ATD has 97 distribution centers servicing 45 states. According to Berry, the company “focuses on helping tire and wheel retail dealers compete with larger retailers by offering the most complete, coast-to-coast selection of tires, wheels and related products and value-added services.”
