AASP/NJ hosts luncheon, tour of Meadowlands for NORTHEAST vendors
After announcing that it would be moving its 32nd annual NORTHEAST Automotive Trade Show to the Meadowlands Exposition Center (MEC) in Secaucus, N.J., The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) offered NORTHEAST a tour of the new site. AASP/NJ is the state's largest association of collision and mechanical repairers. "This luncheon was an introduction to many of our loyal NORTHEAST vendors to the MEC," AASP/NJ President Tom Elder says. "We wanted them to come down and see for themselves how great a facility and area it is. It also allowed the representatives from the MEC to answer any questions or worries our vendors might have. Based on the response we've received since the luncheon, we feel the move is already paying dividends." Those attending the meeting included representatives from Sherwin Williams, DuPont, Mitchell International, Metropolitan Car-O-Liner, Chassis Liner, Ingersoll Rand, Hunter Engineering and Ross Tech. "We were extremely pleased with the turnout and the response," Elder adds. "I am confident that NORTHEAST 2009 will be the automotive event of the year and I'm sure those who attended the luncheon would agree."
