MAHLE Clevite Inc. has appointed Ken Carter to the position of national sales manager.

Carter has served in a variety of leadership sales roles throughout his MAHLE Clevite career. His most recent responsibilities included being the manager of the Heavy Duty and Special Market sales teams, plus all of the MAHLE Clevite Canadian operations. Carter assumes the additional duties of the USA Light Vehicle sales immediately. He will continue to report to General Manager Michael Tate.

“The business environment of today requires a forward thinking, agile sales infrastructure that is equipped to handle the demands in the 21st century,” Tate says. “As the leader of our diverse sales teams, Ken can utilize his experience to leverage synergies across the different market segments and form a united face to the customer base.”

“Ken is a dynamic personality that has both the integrity and the vision to successfully lead our sales organization in a changing market that requires an ability to respond quickly,” Tate continues. “Ken immediately repositions the MAHLE Clevite sales team for a solid future both short and long term.”

These changes were triggered by the departure of Jerry Hendrix, regional sales manager for the Eastern Region. Hendriz will be pursuing other opportunities within the engine parts aftermarket.

“Jerry’s service was an integral part of our success throughout the last 30 years,” Tates says. “He will be missed.”
