June 2, 2014—Glasurit, a paint brand of BASF Corp., announced last week that it will be a gold-level sponsor and provide a paint system for the 2014 Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC).
Glasurit will supply the portable Glasurit 90 Line in a spray booth, along with technical support for students at the SCNC.
The event will be held June 4-7 at the International Centre in Toronto.
Students will prepare and refinish bumper covers and perform color basecoat blends on pre-painted fenders. Each student will also complete an exercise in color matching.
“There is no better place than the SCNC when it comes to championing hands-on skilled trade and technology career experience for today’s youth,” said Harry Dhanjal, business manager for BASF Automotive Refinish in Canada. “As a dedicated supporter of education initiatives and the skilled trade industry as a whole, BASF is excited to share our knowledge and process expertise with the workforce of tomorrow.”
