Ford approves SWAF Elegance clearcoat for global use

March 29, 2011

March 29, 2011 — Ford Motor Co. has given Sherwin-Williams Elegance clearcoat the nod for global use, Sherwin-Williams announced Tuesday.

The Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes (SWAF) 1100755 Elegance clearcoat has cleared extensive certification hurdles to meet Ford's WSS-M2P100-D standard. The clearcoat was featured on 2011 Ford Fiesta models at Ford's booth at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Show in San Francisco in February.

“NADA was a great place to show off the high glamor and depth of the Elegance clearcoat,” said Jason Crager, SWAF OEM business development manager. “We look forward to providing the product throughout the network of Ford dealerships as it gives them a terrific option for a very high quality finish.”
