VIDEO: SCRS Quick Tip: Using trim levels in repair planning

May 20, 2024
This SCRS Quick Tip video shows why it's important to identify build data to identify the correct parts and service required for the repair.

Mike Anderson of Collision Advice and Danny Gredinberg of the Data Enhancement Gateway talk about vehicle trim packages in the latest SCRS Quick Tip video.

Vehicle trim packages such as EX, LX, AMG, TRD, SLT, LTZ, and others play a crucial role in determining the standard features and functions of a vehicle. These packages often differentiate similar models from the same manufacturer. However, it’s equally important to identify added build data to understand additional options installed by the manufacturers that were not part of the standard trim level package.

These options can include convenience packages, technology packages, safety systems, and even refinish upgrades or accessories. All of these can significantly affect part choice and service requirements in relation to the repair.
