State Farm Requires I-CAR-Approved Steel, Aluminum Welding Techs

April 14, 2017—Insurer State Farm announced on Thursday that it will require no less than one technician at every Select Service repair shop to pass I-CAR’s aluminum and steel welding program by March 2018.

According to I-CAR, the following courses must be passed by no later than March 31, 2018: Steel Sectioning, Steel MIG Welding, and Aluminum MIG Welding. I-CAR will grant a discounted price to State Farm shops, it said.
