Polyvance Unveils New Plastic Welding Rod

April 18, 2017—Polyvance recently released a new plastic welding rod, the RO8-01 PPE+PS, to match plastics on some newer vehicles.

Polyphenylene Ether + Polystyrene (PPE+PS) is an engineering plastic that’s used on automotive interior and exterior applications. The rod is available for sale under part number R08-01-03-BK for a 30-foot package.

Polyvance says the company offers the world’s largest variety of plastic welding-rod materials, profiles, package sizes and colors. The new R08 PPE+PS joins a product line that includes R14 ASA, and R15 PPE+PA (GTX) plastics.
