The Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) has announced its second standards release of the year to its members, according to a press release.
As of October 19, the 2023R2 is now available. The release will be discussed in depth during a November 9 CIECA Technical Webinar. CIECA’s new standards, the CIECA API Standards (CAPIS), will also be covered in the webinar.
Additionally, the webinar will delve into BMS updates made to the 2023R2, the development of CAPIS and how the standards can help member companies, and using CIECA standards with popular tools. Two member companies will also talk about their own usage of CAPIS.
Webinar presenters will include CIECA Architecture Committee members Andy Bober, a software engineer at Entegral; Mike Hastings, a product manager at Car-Part.com; CIECA Board of Trustees member Jeff Schroder, founding CEO of Car-Part.com; Architecture Committee Chair Dan Webster, principal architect, IT Enterprise at Enlyte, and Paulette Reed, CIECA’s technical project manager.
Updates to the collision industry standards are posted by the Architecture committee twice a year. The committee held a prior Quality Assurance virtual meeting reviewing factors such as changes to the BMS, code list, instance documents, and schemas; verifying they meet the Architecture guidelines; and ensuring all changes to the BMS are in the schema.
