The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) has selected Cynthia “Cindy” Talamantes as a scholarship recipient for the University of the Aftermarket’s 2023-2024 Leadership 2.0 Program, according to a press release.
Intended for post-graduates, the program aims to help the next generation of auto care leaders develop essential business skills. It consists of two sessions, each lasting five days, and will provide presentations from industry leaders as well as networking opportunities.
As the creative director of sales and marketing at Global Parts Distributors in Macon, Georgia, Talamantes utilizes communication and technical design to support sales, training, and customer service in the company.
Additionally, she volunteers with the Auto Care Association’s Marketing and Communications committee and serves as secretary of the Central Georgia Technical College Automotive Advisory Council.
The scholarship from YANG, valued at $6,650, will cover tuition, supplies, and food for Talamantes. Program graduates will receive 7.0 CEUs towards AAP and MAAP designations.
“As the aftermarket evolves to meet the demands of a new era, young professionals are presented with a unique opportunity to find new solutions without seeing the barriers that come with experience,” Talamantes said.
