A body shop in South Zanesville, Ohio, recently suffered a fire that required the effort of several fire departments in the area to extinguish, WHIZ News reports.
The fire took place at Dutro Auto Body, located on Maysville Pike. According to Zanesville Fire Department Chief Jeff Bell, he and his team were first notified of the incident at 10:40 a.m. on May 24.
The fire reportedly first ignited within the shop’s paint booth before reaching in between the interior ceiling and a bowstring roof. The team arrived quickly and was soon followed by other fire departments in the area, including Falls, Newton, Wayne and Washington Township fire departments.
The general manager of Dutro’s, Brian Cartwright, was attending a meeting at Dutro’s main store when he received a call around 10:45 a.m. alerting him of the fire. He said that everyone had made it out safely and that the fire department demonstrated a “quick response.”
No injuries were reported, though the building has sustained smoke and water damage. The origin of the fire has not been disclosed and is still under investigation.
