The TechForce Foundation has opened nominations for its fifth annual Techs Rock Awards, according to a press release.
Applications for nominees will be open from May 15 through May 26. The awards are meant to recognize technicians that have shown extraordinary work that inspires others.
Nominees are reviewed and chosen by a panel of celebrity judges. This year, judges will include Bogi Lateiner of Bogi’s Garage, Harrison Burton of Wood Brothers Racing, Emily Reeves of Flying Sparks Garage, Pete Meier of Motor Age Magazine and Camrie Caruso of Camrie Caruso Motorsports.
One winner will be chosen for each of the five different categories: Pay it Forward, Rookie of the Year, Die Hard Tech, Outstanding Mentor, and Barrier Buster. They will receive prizes valued at more than $1,900, such as gift cards and tools.
A Grand Prize Winner will then be selected from the five category winners following a popular vote open to the public from June 12 through 16. This individual will receive a paid trip to Nashville, Tennessee to attend STX 2024, as well as other prizes in addition.
