Former GM Manager Accused in Bribery Scheme

A former OEM manager faces bribery charges with a South Korean parts supplier.

March 28, 2022—A former General Motors manager is accused of taking $3.45 million in bribes from a parts supplier.

The former employee, Hyoung Nam So, was arrested recently. GM is cooperating with authorities, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Charges allege that So accepted money from a parts supplier to give favorable contracts.
