CARSTAR Miller Auto Body, Erie Insurance donate refurbished vehicle

A Jefferson, Wis., veterans’ service organization experienced a life-changing event – the presentation of a vehicle to enable them to provide transportation to area veterans to events, meetings and medical appointments – thanks to CARSTAR Miller Auto Body and car donor Erie Insurance along with the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides.

On December 17, a Jefferson, Wis., veterans’ service organization experienced a life-changing event – the presentation of a vehicle to enable them to provide transportation to area veterans to events, meetings and medical appointments – thanks to CARSTAR Miller Auto Body and car donor Erie Insurance along with the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides®.
The presentation of the 2004 Lexus RX330 to the Jefferson County Veterans Foundation was held at the Jefferson County Courthouse in Jefferson, WI. Attendees, shown at right, David Devine, Erie Insurance, Yvonne Duesterhoeft, Jefferson County Veterans Service Officer, Dan Schultz, Erie Insurance, Jim Seidl, JCVF, Chair, Joseph Naylor, JCVF, Vice-Chair, Tim Anhalt, JCVF, Treasurer, Bob Jonas (Erie Insurance Agent, Day Insurance, Fort Atkinson, WI), Marty Zabel, General Manager, CARSTAR Miller Auto Body, Eric Mueller, Shop Manager, CARSTAR Miller Auto Body. “We were honored to work with Erie Insurance and the National Auto Body Council to restore the Lexus for the veterans,” said Debbie Zabel with CARSTAR Miller Auto Body, shown at right with the team including (L-R) Joel Zabel, CARSTAR Miller Auto Body, Erika Zabel-Turek, CARSTAR Miller Auto Body, Yvonne Duesterhoeft, Jefferson County Veterans Service Officer, Marty Zabel, General Manager, Miller Auto Body CARSTAR, and Debbie Zabel, Miller Auto Body CARSTAR. “It gives us joy to know that it will be used to bring our veterans to their doctors’ appointments and other services for the organization.” NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 2,400 vehicles valued at more than $34 million.
