PPG Launches New Primer

Aug. 12, 2015

Aug. 12, 2015—On Tuesday, PPG announced the release of its Deltron DPS3105 V-PRIME Quick Prime Urethane Surfacer. The DPS3105 is a gray speed primer designed for spot and panel repairs and offers film build, fast dry-to-sand times and resistance to film shrinkage, the company said.

“DPS3105 is a valuable addition to the Deltron brand,” said Jennifer Boros, PPG marketing director, collision segment. “It provides PPG customers with fast air-dry performance for excellent cycle-time efficiency with high-quality results. Production-focused collision centers carrying out premium-level refinish work will appreciate this new product’s capabilities.”

DPS3105 features dry-to-sand times as little as 30 minutes and a high film build of 2.0–2.5 dry mils per coat, according to Boros. The primer is rollable, can be wet-sanded, and allows direct application of a basecoat. DPS3105 can be used with Deltron DCX3030 Hardender and the new DCX3035 High Temperature Hardener.
