PIC Gauge was designed to enable anyone, from professional technicians to do-it-yourselfers, to quickly and accurately diagnose wear of automotive and heavy-duty K-section serpentine belts.
“With PIC Gauge now being available for both iPhone and Android phones, the innovative app will increase the number of users conducting belt inspections to determine optimal engine accessory belt drive system performance,” said David Miller, Gates Vice President of Marketing.
PIC Gauge is simple to use. To detect belt material loss or wear, a user:
• Takes a photo of industry-standard automotive or heavy-duty K-section serpentine belt with an iPhone or Android smartphone
• Lets the app quickly analyze the photo with patent-pending software
• Reads the results: Within Specifications (green), Wear Detected (yellow), or Replace Belt (red).
